This policy explains how UniMove collects and uses your personal data when you book student summer storage or a student move with us. UniMove is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. The personal data we collect

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number. Stripe handles the card details and confirms the payment to us.

These providers act on our instructions and are required to keep your data secure. Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law.

We keep your personal data for as long as we need it to provide your booking and to meet our legal, accounting and tax duties. In practice that usually means up to six years after your booking, after which we delete or anonymise it.

7. Cookies

Our booking site uses only the cookies and similar storage needed to make the site work and to take payment securely through Stripe. We do not use cookies to track you for advertising. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the booking process may not work without them.

8. Keeping your data secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Payments are handled by Stripe over a secure connection.
